MIKE

Lauren invited me to come to a party on Saturday night that involved alot of industry-folk.  It was an excellent opportunity for me to mingle and meet some great new people, most of whom are comedy writers, producers and comedians.  Mike happened to be one of the comedians I met at the party.  I had heard alot about him, as he’s pretty successful on the NY comedy circuit, but we had never met.

Mike seemed drawn to me from the moment we met.  When Lauren introduced us, he made a comment about how small and cute he thought I was and before we could properly continue flirting, I was pulled away into another conversation.  Towards the end of the night, Mike found me again.  We flirted shamelessly.  When Lauren came over to ask me if I wanted to go to a bar with a few other party-deflectors, Mike told us he wanted to come with.

Once at the bar, he offered to buy me a drink.  We continued to flirt, mostly pressed up against one another in the crowded bar.  He asked me how old I am, and when I answered “I’ll be 27 in April,” he proceeded to tell me that he is too old for me.  I was shocked when he told me that he is 37, but I think the whole older man thing is SUPER HOT, and probably a little more on par emotionally with what I deserve.  Mike is pretty cute; Jewish, smart, and clearly incredibly funny.  We were laughing all night.

I noticed that he wasn’t drinking, and he told me that he had to wake up early to host a comedy show the next morning.  But he didn’t make a move to go home until I did.  We walked outside and ended up holding hands.  He hailed a cab and as I gave him my number, he leaned in and kissed me square on the lips.  He told me he would call.

I really hope he does.  I liked him!
