I wasn’t planning on going out on Friday night. I’m working on a new webseries that we’re shooting on nights and weekends because of talent availability, and I had an 8am call time on the LES on Saturday morning. But Friday night around 7pm, I got a text from Colin asking me where a wine bar in our neighborhood (that I had mentioned over lunch) was located. I responded back with the address and he invited me to come meet him and his friend for a drink. And so I did!
I found them sitting at the bar, and I parked myself in the empty seat next to Colin. We started chatting and laughing almost immediately. After about an hour or so, his friend excused himself, thus leaving Colin and I alone. I was wondering if it was because he noticed that I was smiling at Colin like an idiot. We continued to talk, mostly about our childhood and families, while we shared a glass of wine. Three glasses of wine later, Colin looks at me and goes “I like you!” To which I replied, “I like you too!” And then we kissed.
Or, more accurately, then we made out wildly at the bar like horny teenagers. When I finally looked at my phone and realized that it was after 1am I told him it was time to go home. I had to work the next day and was already cursing myself for staying out so late. I’m so weak when it comes to making out with cute boys! Correction, cute men.
Colin insisted on walking me home. When we got to my door, he asked if he could come up. I said yes, but that he couldn’t stay long because I had to get up in a few hours. So he came upstairs with me and we opened beers and started making out more on my couch. As it got more heated, I finally stopped it and sent him home. Before going to bed I decided to text him to see if he got home okay. I was nervous about him, cause he was pretty drunk!
When I woke up 5 hours later to go to work, he texted me back letting me know that he got home okay. I wrote back asking him why he was up so early on a Saturday and telling him to go back to bed! We continued to text throughout my day on set, and around 6:30 or so, he asked if I would come meet him and his friend for dinner at a restaurant in our neighborhood. I told him that I couldn’t because I was still working but that I would call him later. Which I did. After a 14 hour day on set, I was exhausted and ready to collapse. He was already in bed when I called and somehow we started talking about pancakes. I told him that “I would love to eat a plateful of pancakes right now” and he responds with “Babe, if you really wanted pancakes right now, I would get out of bed and find you the best pancakes in the city.”
HE IS PERFECT!! Who offers to do that?! Certainly none of the boys I’ve ever dated in the past. Colin makes me feel completely appreciated and adored, things that I don’t think any other man on this planet has ever made me feel. My level of comfort with him and our very open mutual admiration for each other is also new for me. It’s all just so easy. I’m worried that it’s TOO easy. I really like this guy! Crap.
